The press is a crucial piece of equipment for the final molding of copper clad laminates. The precision of the press and the appropriate process parameters play a vital role in determining the quality of the laminate. During the pressing process, a certain number of pre-cured sheets and coated copper foils are sandwiched between stainless steel molds and placed between heated plates.
Multiple layers are pressed in the machine according to process requirements, which is why it is also called a laminating press. Additionally, since heating and pressing are required during the process, it is also referred to as a heat press. After the pressing process, the laminate enters a cold press for cooling. Currently, vacuum presses are commonly used, with heat being provided by thermal oil. Double-sided presses are increasingly adopted. The main components of the press include the frame, top plate, heating plate, bottom plate, and oil cylinder.
